"Only" oak 😂
lol not complaining in any way. Just kind of like having the same thing for dinner all the time. That’s all. Old reliable. After at least a couple of years.

I’ll unload on Thursday. Not enough time to empty and stack/cover before dark. Plus a bit tired. Got to work tomorrow. Supposed to get 2+ inches of rain tomorrow so it’ll stay dry in my truck.

Now got to take a shower. Caught a chill in the cold dampness from sweating through layers

Hour& half drive to the job site today. Then rode the ball from 9am till 5pm with a 20min lunch break. Craned down 3 large red maples. 30 40'' dia at the base with 5-7 leaders on each tree. I didn't bring a stick of it home. Didn't want it. If my horseshoe driveway wasn't blocked off with firewood, I would have brought home a pickup load. Nice for camp wood sales. Speaking of the driveway, I worked on that too. Got home a bit after 6:30 PM, let the dogs out, ate dinner, and then loaded up the pickup with another half cord. It's in the basement. With the rains incoming tomorrow, I'll be stacking along with working on more stuff around the house. Plenty to do.

Finally finished splitting and stacking what I have here. That makes between 6 3/4 and 7 cord so far this fall. My plan to run down to the tree service pasture for more is nixed for now as my wife's car is having an issue so she is driving my beast truck to work.

I whined to my wife via text earlier about how cold and windy it was. Mother Nature chuckled and said "Oh little man, you think THAT was cold and windy...". So she froze my Kool aid, sent a snow squall through, dropped the temperature, and kicked the wind up some more 🤣. I'm back inside and loaded the stove up again.

Been rough for you people in the NE for I been watching the weather channel and Wisconsin too. Its going to get colder with a lot of "Ice water-snow" and wind gusts too. Glad you all got prepared for winter with all the work you all have been doing. Now it is time to "relax" and enjoy the season with your wonderful family's. Minnesota got real real cold too--gives me the "shivers". Put on music like that old wl does and the music thread and just enjoy...I does like cookies so I cannot hear it but I just bet its good...Love your Love Ones and Happy Holidays...clancey
