Dg--Such a simple thing to learn but you have experience---that's common sense. I had somewhat of a same problem only with another thing. My socket because it had too much power plugged into it (plug next to it would not property charge my battery on the "very old computer", that I use..I am not a electrician here but that's what I am figuring as a possibility anyway...who knows...You have some nice seasonal times..thank you for the posting...clancey

WS---Your ax needs to be bound with leather string or even heavy duty string and varnished over to hold it "tighter" for the heavy work...Thanks...Happy Holidays..clancey

I cut a couple trees yesterday into fire wood.
Today I plan on cutting more wood today.
My wife and daughter are visiting family today. That lets me get some work done.

I will put up the wife's last Christmas present. A bird feeder.
It will hang off the guy wire from our tower. It will be directly in front of the window you can see from her chair in the living room

That WL been quiet and wondering what he is up too--lol lol--I bet he is with his family doing something nice...On posting 1126 I meant to use the initials--Dj instead of Dg--Eat good everyone and enjoy the tv and just relax and then eat again..lol clancey

Since they have over an inch of rain coming in, I spent fours hours moving and plowing our walking trails today, with the warmer weather coming in with the rain I'm hoping that the trails and the driveway will be down to the dirt or gravel.

Three pictures of some deer hanging around our property, picture 1344 is before I plowed the trail, 1349 is after.

Wl--Those deer are so pretty and to tell you the truth there seems to be not much different on where you shoveled and where you did't can't see much ground? But it does look real cold so stay warm...and eat well for this holiday--heck with the diet...Yes....Happy Holidays...clancey

Thanks Clancey, I might just do that!

Yesterday I packed about 16 medium size boxes to transport to the Arc or Goodwill Stores just to let someone else have the "stuff"--trying to unburden my house of stuff I do not use and the problem with this is "they are all on the back porch which is my stove room" but eventually I"ll clear it all out and try to light my wonderful stove--when I get the guts to do that at this time of year. Weather does not look good especially for the South--rain and wind (70 miles a hour I think I heard). Get your booties on and keep plugging with your assorted hard work but don't over do it.. When I do light this stove and as usual I will need "talk time help" over the net just to make sure that I am doing it "right", but for now I just "look" at the junk and have a cup of coffee to think about it all...Today I got up at 530am and cleaned out the birdie loft---I am trying to outlive these 15 pigeons and a lot of them are up to 18 years of age which is not normal for them because in the wild they only live about 4 or 5 years because of the different predators that want to eat them. I lose about five a year with old age but today I found a squeaker pigeon that got in my yard and could not fly high enough to get out of the yard so I guess I have another birdie--its doing fine...have it in my bird room for now and will release it when the time is right...Now here goes old clancey lecturing again---you all be good around New Years and do not overdo anything and give your families a hug including all your pets....Happy New Year--clancey

The only thing I clear in the woods are the trails, one of the deer pictures is from the hill in the back, the other two are under some Hemlocks not far from the hill, the deer love cover in the winter.

I did more clearing of snow today with the 4540, I'm pretty much finished so when the rain hits, the water should be running away from the house.
