All the rain this summer with the high temps & humidity have kept the real work at bay. We should start seeing cooler temps after this week so some real work will get done. If I lived out near you, I would help you out.

Usually when we have steaks cooked on the grill, we'll have pasta with it but tonight we went with fries and a veggie with a few small steaks. I'm not sure what's up for a new meal, but if I'm cooking it, probably something Italian.

I have an appointment this fall with the doctor so I would like my weight between 205 - 210 when I go in.

Enjoy your tea Clancey, I usually have three or four cups of green tea a week.

Well I'm having another beer. Did the buggy this morning. Not sure what was the real issue was but I replaced the bearings while I was in there.

Loaded the saws and stuff up and went back to the oak in the back to cut limb wood. The buggy pulled out 2 loads of 12" rounds stacked 2 deep. (Probably 18 rounds) Maaaaaybe a little over spec.😁

Maybe the trail doesn't need as much work as I thought other than moving a couple of rocks LOL.

The lawn needed mowing so I did everything around the house with the push mower, once I finished three waters, one apple and the granola bar, I took the dog for a walk.

I start with energy when mowing but by the time I'm done, I need a recharge. We're finally getting some nice weather which feels good.

Glad the weather is breaking for you some. It was 90 and blue sky today. 3 hours with a weed eater( I use that term lightly) and I was baked.

We have a forecast high of 85 tomorrow, hopefully I get the trails mowed along with another session with the push mower before it gets hot out.

I'm hoping to get that oak log pulled out of the way in the morning before the heat. Looking at it yesterday I think one round cut off the end and it'll be on the move.

That's on my list. When I got it last year it has some seepers. New hoses and some Teflon on the fittings and she'll be good to go.
I’ve owned it 11 years and it’s the first change I’ve given it. The fluid actually looked really good, but the oem filter was beginning to seep at the crimp so I figured it was due 😉

Today I hooked up the trail mower behind the Rhino, they're done. After I was done with the trails, I finished up part of the lawn furthest from the house with the push mower along with a few areas near some trails.

Trail open. 😝🍻

Had to wrap the chain to roll it as I pulled but done deal. May end up as firewood anyway but I'll see if my buddy and his partner wants to work to get it out. At least now I can get to the crown wood without chucking it over the trunk. The crown is 2 limbs starting at 12" and looooong.

I’ve had this huskee 17 years, with the exception of two tubes (tire beads not holding) 4 years ago, a coupler ($20) 2 years ago and oil changes every other year, haven’t done anything to it. I only split an average of 4-5 full cords a year and keep her in the garage during winter and covered all summer. Plus I baby her, split a tank full, let her rest while I stack and line up a tank full of rounds and repeat. I have checked the hydraulic fluid and seems clear as a bell.

well, wood season seems to be non-stop for y'all

I'm working to catch up on this thread...and my work has been mainly in audio this year. I'm doing just enough to keep a handle on the non-stop spring weather we've been experiencing since 2020...cuttin grass

I haven't been doing any firewood work but I have been making spaghetti sauce for the freezer, I made 84 ounces yesterday. Today I'll make another 84 ounces of spaghetti sauce for the freezer, that will be enough for now.

I walked out and looked at the wood that needs to be moved into the dry storage. It’s been C,S&P since April or so.

First full weekend in the Northwoods in quite awhile. Had a 24 hr turnaround trip at fourth of July and another quick run up mid July. Sucks for a 3+ hour drive each way, but remodeling takes precedence. Several months behind schedule there, but we're getting close to listing. Mother nature took down a few of the leaners, but no trails are blocked. Pontoon with the new motor is still on the trailer in the garage crying for me to launch it...

ok, now caught up

you guys sure have a lot of wood, tools and vehicles

I do a lot by hand

this summer I had an operation for a circulation issue...Dr said I'd be walking in a week...he obviously never had the operation! I struggled for eight weeks and that really set me back outside

mother in law, as well, had a couple cataract operations and is still struggling...she typically does the gardening...well that has landed on me as she's hardly set foot out there beyond some planting

I still have an hours worth of film audio to get thru and it is taking a long, long time with new to me software...excellent results, just very time consuming

I do everything by hand too, with the exception of the truck that delivers the logs and the chainsaw, all here is biopowered
