Every year I drop about 15 lbs for elk season, then go crazy over the winter and spring. I never realized that I had been doing the one step forward two steps backwards thing. I thought dipping 15 lbs before the trip was good. At least it got the conditioning for my legs started.I could tell that you all are losing some weight because all you talk about is food. This is the worst time of year for weight loss---so go at it...enjoy your Thanksgiving especially with all those beat up trucks with two wheeled bikes affixed ---that was a enjoyable landscape...Happy Thanksgiving everyone...clancey
Happy Thanksgiving.Happy Thanksgiving as well.
The wife said yum, Pecan pie is her favorite.
Where you from?I did have a probably nontraditional meal (didn't grow up here, never had turkey until my first Thanksgiving in 2007...)
Turkey, carrot, parsnip, pepper, sweet potato, mini potato, brussel sprouts (all from the oven) and a salad. With some pear cider. And a small bite of sweet potato casserole (with marshmallows and pecans on top).
Desert was a piece of pumpkin pie.
In fall and winter We like to mix (mostly) root vegetables in a baking pan with some oil and rosemary in the oven. (Include onions, red beets, tomatoes too.)
I really haven’t been all that bad. Almost went for a bike ride today too.Yes but a marathon is not won by speeding up and slowing down. It's won by consistent speed.
(Hence my effort to not creep up, have to go down again etc. but instead keep it at this level.)
The Netherlands via 11 years in East TN to here.Where you from?
Ok, long Island it is.Welcome to the 36.044659 lat.
We had our first Thanksgiving at our son's. It was totally, non-traditional, Italian food. I made a focaccia. We had a caprese salad, green salad, antipasto, braised scallops pasta dish, Sicilian chicken, carrots and fennel, eggplant parmigiana and ended it with tiramisu.I did have a probably nontraditional meal (didn't grow up here, never had turkey until my first Thanksgiving in 2007...)

That's my first focaccia. It's kind of like pizza dough without the sauce and cheese but a bit thicker.I have no idea what that picture is, but it looks good.
