I could tell that you all are losing some weight because all you talk about is food. This is the worst time of year for weight loss---so go at it...enjoy your Thanksgiving especially with all those beat up trucks with two wheeled bikes affixed ---that was a enjoyable landscape...Happy Thanksgiving everyone...clancey
Every year I drop about 15 lbs for elk season, then go crazy over the winter and spring. I never realized that I had been doing the one step forward two steps backwards thing. I thought dipping 15 lbs before the trip was good. At least it got the conditioning for my legs started.

This year I took it seriously and dropped 50 lbs, then stabilized at around -40lbs as I relaxed some.

My hunting season is over and this is when I tend to cut lose. I’d like to be more mindful this year, but time will tell. I haven’t ridden since before I left in mid Oct, so over a month. Had pneumonia and pulled my back. But I suppose I could make excuses for everything.

If I can maintain +\- 200, when I go training next year I’ll hit 185 in a matter of a couple weeks. Not sure that’s the right way to look at it or not, but it’s way better than the 240 I came from.

I've been approved for turkey day: 175 this morning.

No pecan pie, but pumpkin pie was baked yesterday.

Happy Thanksgiving!

It’s not a race, it’s a marathon.

Yes but a marathon is not won by speeding up and slowing down. It's won by consistent speed.

(Hence my effort to not creep up, have to go down again etc. but instead keep it at this level.)

I did have a probably nontraditional meal (didn't grow up here, never had turkey until my first Thanksgiving in 2007...)

Turkey, carrot, parsnip, pepper, sweet potato, mini potato, brussel sprouts (all from the oven) and a salad. With some pear cider. And a small bite of sweet potato casserole (with marshmallows and pecans on top).

Desert was a piece of pumpkin pie.

In fall and winter We like to mix (mostly) root vegetables in a baking pan with some oil and rosemary in the oven. (Include onions, red beets, tomatoes too.)

I really haven’t been all that bad. Almost went for a bike ride today too.

I suppose Thanksgiving isn’t traditional to the Netherlands, but, is that traditional holiday fare over there or just mindfulness? I can respect both, but I do like me some fresh veggies.

No,.just something that looks good and tastes good - to us.
Lotsa colors, olive oil, Rosemary, what have you.

We did have a nice mixed salad with it.

East TN? Thats not too far from me. Knoxville is about 4.5 hrs west of me.
I always thought you were in Long Island when I weigh your replies against profile location.

I am now. Moved a while ago

Edit: I am in LI now. Lived 11 years in TN before.

We had our first Thanksgiving at our son's. It was totally, non-traditional, Italian food. I made a focaccia. We had a caprese salad, green salad, antipasto, braised scallops pasta dish, Sicilian chicken, carrots and fennel, eggplant parmigiana and ended it with tiramisu.

Tonight I get to eat pumpkin pie at home.

I have no idea what that picture is, but it looks good.

That's my first focaccia. It's kind of like pizza dough without the sauce and cheese but a bit thicker.

The last I was on the scale, it said 208. I think that was two days ago maybe three.

I checked yesterday morning.
After Thanksgiving and a week of travel (restaurants...), 176 still. I had not expected that.
