Nice ride along with that fiber you're getting in the last picture. I thought the last picture was of the tree, are you making the pumpkin cookies?

With all the weight you lost, 203 is nothing.
Got the first batch in the oven now. Our oven always takes longer to bake stuff. Are these supposed to come out fluffy and soft or bake them harder?

20 minutes per batch. They are like super soft fluff bread.
Very good with the frosting.
Thanks for sharing. My oldest really like them too.

I missed this post, they're a soft cookie! ;em My weight has been around 206.8 but this morning it was 205 so tomorrow we'll have some pasta with some steaks.

Got in 11 miles on a nite ride tonight. Rain was starting on the way back in, and got steady just after getting in the truck. Per the usual, about half of the crowd went for street tacos after the ride, only fitting for a Tuesday evening.

Trucks lined up at the Mexican joint. There were about 10-12 of us that went out for tacos.

Came home to a chilly rainy evening and lit a low fire and poured a Broken Barrel Small Batch before bed.

204.4 this morning, will that big cheat I did last night add more weight by tomorrow morning or will I be under 204, time will tell.

Switched from hands on the bench push ups to feet on the bench push ups.
Yesterday I cleaned 20 at each (6) bench and did one lap around the trail 3.5 mi.

Today I did 25 inverted push ups on the first lap and then tried the normal 35 hands on the bench pushups for the second lap. Wow! Those 150 “feet up” took it out of me. In lap two, I only got my 35 in at the first 4. At 5 & 6, I only could do 15ea. As in, literally couldn’t lift my body anymore. Feet up are brutal.
Last week I was doing 35 ea at 12 benches for a fairly easy 420 hands on the bench and 7 miles. Inverted gets my core a whole different way too.

Ouch

Not that I've lost a lot of weight this year but years back when I hit 232, I started buying some work pants with a 38 waist. After working in the Brook today, the pants I usually wear were wet so I grabbed the size 38 waist pants when I was getting ready to go outside and put in some wood, I should've used the suspenders.

Grilled up an elk back strap with brussels, fresh creamed corn and asparagus. I only got one serving of the elk, and seconds only on the veggies. The kiddos polished off the elk. I could hear them as they washed the dishes talking about how good it was. I suppose I can’t be mad about only getting seconds of the veggies if they look forward to that meal again.

I was at 207 this morning, I wanted a 3 pound loss from 209 but I'll take the 2. I'll see if I can drop 3 pounds this week, anything under 204 before Thanksgiving will be good.

197 today. Trying to stay under 200. Haven’t ridden or done any pushups since I left for the elk hunt on 10-23. Came home with pneumonia and been down and out a couple weeks.
Maybe I’ll get back to it soon. I’d really like to be 190 or less, but sub 200 ain’t bad.

199.2 on the eve of the big day. Turkey is in the brine. Chocolate meringue pie, Pecan pie, Molasses Crumb Pie (almost a shoofly pie), Pumpkin pie are all done and cooling.
Green beans and ham cooked for about 4 hrs today. Real pintos cooked in the crockpot all last night. I’ll be smoking the turkey, so I baked a chicken yesterday for the juices to make gravy. Today I pulled and shredded all the chicken and that entire chicken will go into the pan of dressing (stuffing). Then the bones and seasoned skin and connective bits went into a pot of water for as long as the green beans cooked to make a little extra stock for the gravy. Eggs are boiled and peeled for the devil.
You can waste food in the trash can, or you can waste it in your belly. Tomorrow, we waste it in our bellies.

I do love me a pecan pie made with fresh pecans but no one in the family is making one.

I have 4 pecan trees in my yard. I’ve lived here about 12-13 years. The pecans will bow the limbs to the ground as the fall approaches, then some dang bug or something gets them and they all rot, every year. They just fall off rotten with holes drilled in them. I think I have eaten three pecans in 13 years between the rotten ones and the squirrels eating them green.

I could tell that you all are losing some weight because all you talk about is food. This is the worst time of year for weight loss---so go at it...enjoy your Thanksgiving especially with all those beat up trucks with two wheeled bikes affixed ---that was a enjoyable landscape...Happy Thanksgiving everyone...clancey
