I have 1 that works best on slowI use a box fan to blow the cold air towards the stove, 2 actually…it works way better than expected
Correct me if I'm wrong here. The only way to get more heat in stove mode (manual) is turn it up to 7 and hope it's enough. Changing the feed rate won't help because the ESP will only allow so much heat? I'm going to find out as the day progresses. That what I'm getting from that article. It also mentions distribution fan only works above 5, which means it runs at set speed until you turn it up to or above 6. The reason I ask, is it's not changing speed's right now on 4. So I'm assuming that for it to speed up I have to run it higher? Can any one confirm this? Here's a cut and paste Distribution fan will not turn on unless the temp knob is set to 5 or higher. This explains why mine isn't working. Or just running at a set speed. The BTU output varies with the pellets you’re using. Again you’ll have to experiment with the settings
Have you read any of this thread? It may help
Thanks Mod for correcting the title!
Now, let's have some fun and stay warm!
How your stove works - The facts are pretty straightforward, but how you get people to properly interpret the facts is the hard part. It's your toy, run it the way you want as long as you understand what's going on behind the scenes! Everything noted below is based on me seeing what the stove is doing via the Harman diagnostic tool during the various operation methods. I get to see feed rates, max feed rates, current ESP temps, ESP set temps, room sensor temperatures, room sensor target...

I've turned it up to 6.25 and am waiting for the fan to speed up.Correct me if I'm wrong here. The only way to get more heat in stove mode (manual) is turn it up to 7 and hope it's enough. Oh really what's fan speed for? I've bought a new board and am just about to replace it. No to gun. Pellets are eastern embers. I was told the bottom right is fan speed.I have yet to come across a distribution fan that speeds up…be careful if you do run your stove on max settings as it could cause some of the metal to warp….do you have access to an IR temperature gun? Posting your output readings may help us see wheat the stove is actually putting out…what brand of pellets are you using?
Well I can assume its messed up. First it runs when it shouldn't and it didn't pick speed on 6.25. So to get more heat I've turned the floor fan up and should I increase the pellet feed speed? It hot in here now but it's not even close to the lows expected

Yup came preset. Cost me $450 for the same heat and fan speeds. I'll be making a call back tomorrow, to have the technician explain it. It was his idea.Did you set the dip switches on the board to match your old board?
Got a massive fire going now though . Can any body explain what's going on here. Is there a fan speed control on this stove or not. The book says there is, the tech says there is, but a few guys here say other wise? And the stove says there isn't. And what's the 3 flashing lights indicate? It's not in test mode it's when it starts up and runs. It's still running the same and had been cleaned out.Did you set the dip switches on the board to match your old board?
The test still continues, to see what temperature will be in the morning. I had a fire going while messing with the control board. So it will probably not be accurate but it will answer questions. ( And cold). Stay tuned film at 11. 🤙Got a massive fire going now though . Can any body explain what's going on here. Is there a fan speed control on this stove or not. 4 hours later I wake up and its barely running 1 degree outside 67 inside. Going to change board back. It's feeding like it's on 3 or less. Well old board back in and working. Must be the wrong board. Back to sleep and hope it's warm in the morning.4 hours later I wake up and its barely running 1 degree outside 67 inside. Going to change board back. It's feeding like it's on 3 or less. It has the error light flashing on test .
Well It's warm, but I believe that's due to the fires. I'm running it on 6 and we'll see if we climb out of the - numbers F. I did get a call from the dealer, they seemed concerned as they moved the install of the Quadrafire up a week. I pretty sure I'll be using the fire not to long after lunchtime. 1am, fire check 6f out 78f inside, I'm guessing it's working okay 👍 that's the back .Seems to be running well
You bet.🤙1am, fire check 6f out 78f inside, I'm guessing it's working okay 👍 that's the back . 3am dropped to 3f temp inside 70f at the back and it was turned down to 5.5. On a final note this is with no wind chill factor. Earlier today at 15f with a 10 mph head wind it was 74. Rip the house apart and spend $10000 or use the available heat? Which was quoted at $1500 just to hook it up to the fire stove pipe. All in. After I eat the board. Am I having fun?
Not getting the big flaring fire I used to. This is 6 and it should be blaring. No notice change past 5. I set it on 7 and it wouldn't stop feeding, had to turn it down to 4. Then 6 and it's the same as pictured. No notice increase in temp. Been running it in 5 for the last 3 days, been really cold. Have no idea when it stopped working. Can I increase the feed rate from 4-5 to compensate? You can't really see the improvement but the flames a foot tall on 6 now. See if the temps go up. Well they do. It's called down some, but much better. 3-4 inch flames pushing a red hot wad of ash. Looking a -9f tonight this will be a record. Oh Quadrafire's hooked up. Plan B. Got to -2 the other night by it's self. 🙏You bet.🤙
