What I need help with is the tiny font size of all the text. I see that I can control the text size in this comment box, but how do I increase the font on everything on the page??
Capt. how is the text now for you? Ok, too large, too small still? Just right?

Font is great now. Other changes are great as well.
See! I hate being right all the time.

I do like a few new features, the location of the “mark read” is one of them

[Hearth.com] System upgrade...
What ads. I don't see any ads.

Well done!!

I found the Font settings in Chrome as you directed, looked much better at 110%.
Now, after the adjustments you made I'm back at 100% Chrome setting.

PS: I like that you removed the "likes counter", it will reduce the stress for some people who are easily addicted.;)

It’s been cleaned up. Was pretty bad in the first few hours on the new software, but it appears the Hearth staff has been hard at work fixing all of that.
Many add-ons were not updated by the programmers and in the case of the ads, previous settings were lost. Jim had to rebuild that data manually. The good news is that the wheels never fell off the train and the brakes still work. This was a major update, kudos to him for a successful transition. We're all learning some new locations for options, but overall the site is working well and ready for the fall rush.

Now the round avatars are just goofy...

Now the round avatars are just goofy...
Begreen's animated stove doesn't fit in the round hole very well. His usual Christmas avatar may look nice in this new form, tho.

I guess mine got a goofy crop job, too.

Agreed...I'm not a fan of the round avatar. I'm a square peg, I can't fit into a round hole. ;)

I thought I had an avatar before, but can't remember for sure or what it was if I did. So quickly picked a pic for a new one.

Am I missing it - or do we not have a smiley selection now?

EDIT: Ooops - think I just found it. But it shows as just a little square in my bar. Is it supposed to be just a little square?

Mine is with the phone camera looking through one side of a binoculars. Telephoto, started out round.

... The first thing I see after the upgrade is... an ad for women’s undergarments.

C’mon! Why does everything have to be monetized? I fear the demise of this site.
Reminds me of a major upgrade here a few years back. People started seeing ads for feminine hygiene products.

Yeah, nobody wants clean women. We want dirty ones, like Pink Floyd. ==c

And I see we are still stuck with the dreadful emoticon situation we found ourselves in before. ;hm

I'm not getting the red number icon on my notification bell, indicating new notifications, even though someone has replied to a thread I posted on, or quoted me.

Now, when I'm looking at hearth, an icon did pop up.
I hadn't looked at my hearth.com tabs after "un-sleeping" my computer. When I finally looked at the tab, no notification number. Browser issue? Firefox..

I do get the red number over the bell symbol, but I have a few other display shortcomings. Like I can't see the "stay logged-in check mark" in the log-in box. Found out that was due to using my old (comfortable) Vista OS and its out of date Chrome browser.

Things look more complete on the Win7 OS and its newer Chrome. Change don't always help me! :(
