i once had a sirocco 2.0 in another house. i had a fan with it, which i really liked , powered by a sterling engine,(not the electric, pelletier module).
it was really working great, but i believe they do require quite a higher temperature differential to work properly.
has anyone made measurement of the surface temperature above the cat, on an ashford 20 or 30. just bought an ashford 20 and was wondering if i could make my sterling engine start on this new stove.

and if you have an idea of the difference of T with the sirocco, since it is my point of reference.

thank you all

Top temp 650F
14.5 hrs later its reading 325F

Stove is set on a very, very, very low burn rate setting. Not sure if this is meaningful data as every install will reflect different values. To a degree ;)

do you get 650 f often ?

this data is indeed meaningful, should be able to run the fan for for a while every reload.
