Had the stove going today. Never got around to posting anything. Here is tonight’s also. Oak, maple, and some hickory made it in. Lows in the mid 20s with lots of wind

35 going down to 28. 72 upstairs.
At 1.30 pm I had added two small splits of pine, two splits of spruce, and two oak shorties.
That is almost done but I am tired. Apart from driving kids around I split a bunch. Three more rounds and then all, apart from a pile of uglies for the neighbors, is split.

A reload with oak, and one small pine split and a thin slab of spruce to fill it to the top.
Tomorrow 44, and then 33 overnight will likely be the last fire for the year of the forecast is correct.
Except for One more firebox cleaning hot fire later.

Just tossed on a real big oak split and a 5” or so oak round. Stove has a great bed of coals, STT sitting at 600, CAT settling in at around 1300, and shops already 65 (outside air at 27)…. Should be nice out there in the morning.

Just got home from work and stuffed her full of Bradford Pear before heading off to bed.

probably went out a little too late, lol. Shop at about 58 and enough red coals left to re-light, but STT at 175. She’s re-lit and off to the races now:

Maple and cherry this morning. Won’t run as hot around 600 STT.
