I found thru my experiences these employees dont really know whats going on. I one time chased fiber energy products down and drove to a tractor supply on a employees word with my trailer to pick up a ton only to find out it was north americans. I urge you to take a ride and check for yourself. When I was in the parking lot I counted at least 5 tons of minuteman 5 tons of big heat 2 tons of awfs . No where did I see omalley. Could they have all sold out yes its possible. But check for yourself you never know

The guy at Home Depot said they are looking to get a shipment in on Monday so maybe Monday or Tuesday I'll take a ride over after work.

Just bought two tons at HD in E. Springfield MA yesterday and so far so good. I will do a complete cleaning on Sunday and get a good run on them next week. Good heat, getting some embers, great smell and definitely more pleasant to handle. After my cleaning tomorrow I'll tweak the settings a little more but right now great flame going.

Ive been burning O'Malleys all season and with cold weather predicted for the entire week I gave my stove a good cleaning and decided to try out the AWF ultra premium white pine. Im only 24 hours in and I can already tell they are about 75% less ashy than the O'Malleys. When I woke up this morning I didn't even have to scrape the burn pot, it looked like someone already had. Hopefully I can find some of these to stock up on in early spring for next season.

Picked up 12 bags today at one of my local Tractor supply stores.. they told me because they are softwood they were cheaper than the TSC pellets... 4.99 a bag have not tried them yet .. they look similar to the Big Heat softies I got at TSC a couple of months ago. almost no dust or fines small pellets < 1/2 inch light tan color

Where did you get them? I have been looking for awf's. Are big heats any good?
the big heats were \ are pretty decent.. low dust ash and fines decent heat .. the TSC was the Kingston NY one.. it's a new store, across the street from Adams if you are familiar with the area

I burnt one bag of AWF's and I'm halfway thru a ton of big heats. Skip the Bigs and go for AWF's if you have the choice. Big heats are really hot but don't burn completely in my burn pot. AWF's burnt completely and left almost nothing in the burn pot. They had real good heat too.

Englander 25 PDVC. A big ash collection in the burn pot is an Englander thing though. Some pellets are worse than others.

In running a Harman so I'm hoping those awf's burn good. Everyone says the ultra premium white pines are great. So I might just buy the bullet and get a ton if they have the ultra whites in stock.

That's what I would do. The AWF's are as good as the $330 a ton Canadian Vanderhood industry Platinums I'm also burning.

Never burned them. I have burned curran softies and I have fire side ultras now along with hamers hot ones. Best pellets I have prob ever burned were hamers and somersets. Hamers are now 319 a ton and can't fined somersets anywhere.

Never mind my buddy is from down there and he knows where it is. Do you know if they had a lot of the awf? I'm Prob going to buy 2 ton if they have them.

only saw part of a pallet in the store no idea how many they have if any in stock.. they are 20 cents less per bag than the TSC labeled maine woods that are 239 a ton so they are probably a little less than that if they have that many left.. as I said in my op they seem to think softies are less desirable than blends or hardwoods and that's why they are only 4.99 a bag.. wish I had room for more but none left in the garage .. got about 3 tons stashed including 1.5 of timber heats. almost a ton of NEWPs, some of the TSC white bag generics (recommended) a few big heats and a dozen awfs

Just called tsc in Kingston. He said "we have like a dozen different brands" which I don't believe and I asked if they had awf's and he said "idk if we have them. There are pallets out back which have dark green and black bags on them and we can't see what they are." So that doesn't really help.

was there today the full pallet that was in the store yesterday was almost all gone, noticed one of the remaining bags had water damage at the bottom.. the rest were fine .. I grabbed 5 of the last bags ... just in case

fwiw they did have more of the TSC's that have been reported to be Maine Woods and fairly well reviewed

as far as a dozen different kinds that is close to the truth but not all at the same time .. I have seen at least 8 different brands between the three TSCs near me at different times this year

Hmmm he said there out back all wrapped up and shrink wrapped. Which I think I'm going to go down Saturday and look to see what they are.

Was just there. Awf pellets were in the store to buy by the individual bag. They didn't seem to have any idea as to what else they had. I bought 5 bags and they smell good!
