But temps taken anywhere on the stove would work comparability if its always the same place.

For sure! Most of us post numbers from the top though so if he's trying to compare between other stoves I wanted to mention it so we're all on the same page.

I would like to Thank everyone who gave effort towards getting my stove running well. And giving me hope through all the flustration.Last night I loaded it up around 10 pm. Couldn't see inside around 8 am but opened it up to find I barely had room for 2 small pieces . Left got back around 5 pm and still half full. Sure was nice to come home to 70* and 1/2 full stove. It this continues I will be bord this winter. LOL....

I always try to effectively communicate the role the chimney plays in stove performance and thus consumer satisfaction.
