We have been having rain and then temps in the 40's and 50's here. The yard is a muddy mess, other than filling the garage here and there with wood nothing new here winter has not been that bad just wet and mud. Tough to work in would like a freeze but I'm not sure it is going to happen.

It looks like the end of January the nights start dropping down to the single digits but still no real cold temps like we had last year.....yet.

Hopefully March is warmer than it was last year, we go from winter to summer without a spring.

We received some wet heavy snow so after I made some spaghetti sauce, I plowed two driveways and a bunch of trails in the woods.

After I was done with the tractor, I plowed a few more trails with the RTV but didn't get any pictures.

Finally got to use the tractor here on the southern coast of ME. Then we lost power but have a whole house gen so we were fine but a power line was down across or private road and blocked us and our neighbours in for two days. Now everything is melting and making a mess of things. Also would rather keep the temps colder and have a nice melt in early March.

I took delivery in early November 2022. Prior to this one I had a Kubota MX5100 open cab like yours. It was a great machine but the blower was a smaller Meteor that I had from long ago with my first tractor a B20 (Kubota again). I sold the MX back in 2020 when we moved south and when we decided to come back north, my wife said first thing is buy a Kubota. I really like open cabs except for when blowing snow so opted for a cab….good lord the luxury. This one is a LX3310 so less HP but the blower is a commercial unit and it can throw the snow a longs ways. Simple to drive forward as well to see what I doing. Bring on the snow!

I didn't take a picture but this was sausage, onions with bell peppers I made in a sauce just before Christmas. The sauce I just made is in the fridge in the basement, I'll get a picture when we use it.

You can't beat the heat when it gets real cold out. Our RTV has a great heater/ac in it, when it's 30 below you can be in a short sleeve shirt.

With the warmer January we had and Lake Ontario pretty much wide open, I think we'll be in for a lot of snow so today I pushed back a chit load of snow.

With the colder weather coming in and the snow having a bunch of water in it, once it freezes it will be like a rock. I'll fuel up the tractor tomorrow and move some snow from the front yard either with the plow or bucket.

I haven't had any fires in the outside fireplace so today I cleared a path to it, hopefully I can burn some pine out there.

Good looking rig there. I bought a MX6000 open station with loader it will be two years in June old. So far really like it. Its my UTV of the farm. Got just over thousand hours on it. It doesn't even have a block heater it stays in the shed in the winter. I use the skid loader for snow removal. I use it mostly for spot spraying in the summer. You guys could send us some rain. It keeps missing us.

I just filled the garage back up and cut some kindling last night and this afternoon. We had rain and close to 40 today so everything is a muddy mess. Some cold temps coming this week so things should freeze up. I'm hoping to get the tractor out. KDubU nice tractor.

When this moves in, I'll enjoy the heat from the wood stove until the cold leaves.

I moved some snow just off the driveway and a few other places, I still have more that I want moved but it can wait. We'll put in more beech before the cold azz temps get here.

Since the sun was out with no wind and 15 degrees, I started my work day plowing three trails I hadn't done in about a month. After the plowing was done, I moved a bunch from one area that gets sun to another area in the woods.

Picture 0556 is the sun through some trees after I was done plowing and pizzing , 0557 is a deer wondering what in the hell is going on, 0560 is the pile of snow I started with, 0561 is after 8 or 9 loads to and area in the woods, picture 0562 and the last picture is the strong sun we had today.

Beautiful looking property. May have missed it in an earlier post, what is your acreage? Love the Adirondack’s, grew up in Montreal and spent more time there fishing, camping and hiking then I did in the Laurentian mountains just North of Montreal.

We have as total of 142 acres, the house is on 5.5 and the rest of it is a second lot that borders our house lot on the south and west.

When I was younger this work was more fun, but with age it gets harder and takes a toll on the old frame.

Thanks for the compliment on the lot, it's loaded with White Pine until you get to the hill on the southside of the house and then things change to hardwood.

I was able to use the tractor to load the garage back up tonight. Three grapple loads, I didn't get any pics because of the dark but with those four LED work lioghts on the rops it is like day out. Very cold here wind chill was awful at work I din't want anything to do with being outside this evening but getting to play with the tractor with some frozen ground made it worth it. Temps are going to be back in the 40's and 50's next week so back to mud.

Since we have rain coming in tomorrow, I used the FEL on the 4540 and then scraped down the driveway. I removed between 1.5 to 2.0 inches of ice from different areas, hopefully the rain with the warmer weather will take care of the rest.

Temps have been pretty mild here. A few days ago it was cold for a day but temps have been in the 40's to the 60's. Very wierd for Feb.

We had 47 on the wireless back here in the pines today, I won't complain because we can be pretty darn cold in February.

We have a storm coming in later Wednesday and Thursday, some reports have certain areas getting 8 -12 inches, we'll see.

We are supposed to get some weather this week but temps look pretty mild for this time of year. We had 50 today, I have not been burning as much. I'm ready for spring, not that winter has been bad just ready for the longer days and warmer temps.

I ended up plowing the driveway this morning with the RTV and then put the FEL on the tractor and moved more snow of the driveway into the woods.

I have a few more areas that need cleaning up along the driveway , we'll see what the temps will be tomorrow.

DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Very cold air will settle into the region today. The combination of
temperatures near and below zero and light winds tonight will result
in a period of wind chills in the range of -10 to -20 in most
locations before winds relax overnight.

After we put in some wood this morning, I moved some snow that was near a big pile in the neighbor's driveway down in the woods, that will give me more room when plowing their driveway again.

I also moved another three or four piles of snow off our driveway down in the woods. Hopefully we won't need to move any more snow until late March.

We received another 4 or 5 inches yesterday and overnight so once I came back from picking up some items in town, I scraped the driveway down good with the FEL.

There was another two inches of snow packed down on top of the ice so I took off 6 to 7 inches. Today I did plan on taking a few pictures but left my phone inside.
