UPDATE:
On a mild North woods evening like tonight, around 20 deg., Without the blower running, and the damper pushed in 3/4 ,of the way, my main floor thermostat says 80 deg! ...
I love my Lopi!
****If anyone reading this is considering an insert, I highly recommend the Lopi 1750i. I have to believe with it protruding out 9 inches, it adds a lot of radiant heat that you don't get with a flush unit. And, you can enjoy the advantages similar to a freestanding.... Bc you can cook or have a steam pot (hoping for a steam pot soon!)
Even my fluffy dog can't resist the cozy heat (and chair that is too small for him! )
