First overnight Burn

Ok, have a real small Lopi insert...and since its been so cold lately I stuffed it to the gills last night around 8:30-9:00....made sure eveything was running well before I went to bed and shut down the damper.
Got up at 6:00am...poked around in the firebox, and I have some red coals left.......yoooohoooooooo....put a few very small splits in, and it took of.....right now, the blower is on, and we are up to 450.
Nice feeling....no fire starters, no paper...just some very small splits.
Just excited here, as I figured it wouldn't be possible with the small firebox and all.

awesome, isn' it? Sipping that morning coffee, little bit of warmth left in the house, gonna get nice and toasty again inside in a little while

It feels very good to wake up to a warm house knowing the furnace never kicked on. I've been heating with wood off and on for decades and it still amazes me. I swear I wish I had the space in my little ranch to fit me a Hearthstone. (and the money)

i feel the same way about my little jotul f 3 cb :lol: when it runs all night....hate using all that kindling. love just putting on a couple of small pieces to get it going, then let it burn baby burn.

Congrats on the overnight burn. I have the same stove and I routinely get a good morning coal relight when I load up with at least one big chunk of hard maple, and a few mediums and smalls. I tend to put all that on some pretty hot coals so I can shut it down pretty soon after loading, then I go right to bed. Rarely is the fan still running eight hours later, but plenty of coals are still there if there is a good ash bed.

Just a quick question is your lopi a zero clearence insert? I have been looking at them to upgrade my ZC with a insert and wonder the true burn time since some of the boxes are small to load up wood. These ZC fireplace stink on burning time.
