Has anybody changed the engine on a Husky 22 ton? If so, did you use the same Briggs or something different?

ha! I was just on the other thread Jags mentioned. HF and $100 buys you a 6.5hp side shaft(on sale). Takes about 20 minutes to bolt it on.I think about 6 yrs. It's a matter of getting another engine or spending about the same amount fixing the one I have. Vibration issues, new carb, mouse nest(eaten wires). About 450 for new one installed

Are you referring to the horizontal/vertical orientation of the shaft? If so, they sell a vertical shaft version as well.That may work on some splitters but I don't think the shaft on that motor will work on the Husky splitter
