Can I burn kiln dried hickory in BK?
Is it possible to prevent the stove from overheating and getting damaged by reducing the air intake? Thanks.

As long as the wood is dry, the type does not matter.
And no need to worry about overheating, that's what the thermostat is there for. So reducing the air intake would be detrimental to that function.

You don't block your car's gas pedal halfway to prevent speeding either, right?

That makes so much sense, thank you.

Note that kiln dried doesn't equate to being dry.
It often merely equates to "heated so bugs are dead".
