They have become a plague. Every year they come out earlier and stay out later in the season, and what used to be a nuisance has become a menace with at least two very serious tick-borne diseases. It has truly become rare to go outside and notget one or several. Light colored pants tucked into your socks at least gives you a shot to see them climbing you before they can reach your skin.
