Up here (Wi) we don't really have anything similar as far as - all cut faces all orange. Hop hornbeam will have orange sap coming from sapsucker holes. Mulberry split faces have a really deep yellow orange, then fades with the exposure. The pictures have a deep orange color that looks sappy, like it has a sheen, that would go away as it dried. Hmm not sure. So I look up orangy woods and alder keep coming up. Maybe we have a different type of alder, because here it doesn't look that orange.
