I used the black stove pipe caulk in the tube for my stovepipe joints. I cured it as best I could with my sauna heater last season. I noticed as I get my stove ready this season much of the old caulk has come off in long, hard strips.
I was going to try high temp silicone on the pipes. Says it is good for 500 degrees intermitent and 450 continual. The stove is used for pellets and is run for 2 - 3 hours at a time once per week. Will high temp silicone work OK on the stovepipe joints for my use?
Thanks
