Upper 30s and dreary this am, home from work and heat was calling. I turned that off immediately and put in a half load of mixed hardwoods. House already up 2 degrees and that wood stove warmth feels great on this cold and damp day.

Mid thirties this morning, shop sitting at 63, after about 12-1/2 hrs after last nights reload, but STT was only 130 and had a few coals left.

She re-lit with a piece of birch bark and some kindling, warming up now:

I didn't look at the outside temp this morning but the temps up here were 65 & 66, the wife was wishing she said yes to a fire last night.

I just started a fire in the wood stove with some Maple and Ash. We did run the propane fireplace this morning.

As previously posted, this am I did a cold start to take the chill off the house. Since the sun never broke free from the clouds today I plopped on another 6 hardwood splits for the overnight which is expected to be in the mid 30’s with rain.

Closing and moving day today. Currently 53 degrees here in the Northwoods. Low of 27 forecast, but I don't know if I'll have enough ambition to make a fire tonight. I'm pooped after only 4 hours of sleep last night... Trying to work up the ambition to change my info in my profile.

It's 39.2 out tonight, the basement temp started out at 73 with the temps up here 68 & 69. The overnight fire has 3 splits of Ash and two splits of Maple, that went on top of some nice coals from a fire after supper.

Up north at the cabin, getting ready for the season.

Lit the old Waterford up to take the chill out. It’s 35 here, we got snow this morning, about an 1-1/2”; it’s turned to rain and melting now… and with that we’re into the mud season. Burning some very very seasoned maple and oak,

I didn't look at the temp this morning but I'm thinking it was around 36 to 38. The house was 68 this morning, no fire yet today.

I reloaded for tonight with 6 decent sized splits of red oak. I’m currently dialing it back slowly while waiting for dinner to be ready. Looking forward I’ll still have a few days to burn so I’ll bring the tote over maybe tomorrow to throw a few more loads worth in.

It was 29.5 this morning, nothing for heat last night so we ran the furnace for about 10 minutes this morning and then while we were having coffee, the propane fireplace.
