After supper last night we had a small fire with some ash and maple splits, the overnight load was some beech with ironwood.

This morning the outside temp was 23, the temps up here were 68 & 69 and the basement was 72. The first fire was with some ash splits.

3/4 load of ash and beech last night. 3/4 shoulder season load this morning. Will get some ash out this evening before the overnight load.
Hey Nick, did your place up north survive the ice storm? I heard it was pretty bad up near Rhinelander area.

My neighbor was out of power for 14 hours. I'm having difficulty getting a hold of WPS. We're going up Friday, hopefully not to a thawed freezer...

A little cold snap rolling through tonight into tomorrow, I’m starting off a mixed load of hardwoods with a few birch scrap pieces and the propane plumbers torch.

We had 19.2 this morning, the basement temp was 70 with the temps up here 66 & 67. The first load was ash and maple.

We have a Winter Weather Advisory & a High Wind Advisory, I don't think we'll get much snow but it looks like the winds will be humping it up pretty good.

I did take another another load of ash out this morning, the garbage can (metal) is getting full, I might have room for 1 more full ash bucket.

Outside Temp - 32.0
Basement Temp - 72
Temps Up Here - 68 & 69
Overnight Load - Ash and Maple
Weather - We had some snow but that is changing to a wintry mix and then rain.

30/72 had a couple inches of heavy wet snow yesterday. The big snow just missed us to the NW. 4-6 splits of Aspen twice per day keeping the cabin toasty in the 70’s.

No overnight fire last night. The house was chilly this morning so a 3/4 shoulder season load went in. Extremely windy out today but sunny(ish), so we'll see how many small loads will be necessary today. Down to the low 30's by tomorrow morning so an overnight hardwood load will be needed tonight.
