I built my woodshed. Took my two solid days to do it, but it's a great feeling of accomplishment to make something like this completely by myself. Now the harder work starts, stocking it. I already have about half of it split and stacked in another location thankfully. I think I'm going to put down some cinder blocks and some scrap treated wood to stack it on. What do you think?

Ohh yeah, I also plan to shingle it, but I don't have them yet.

4 1/2 cords

I only burn about 1 1/2 to 2 cords a year because I have a fairly efficient heating system already and I have a small stove.

The materials for this shed including shingles added up to about $425.

Split kindling Saturday morning then went to a wedding then on Sunday worked in the woods cutting sugar maple plus ironwood (hard hack). Will continue cutting wood until I run out of room or energy. Nice woodshed but we want to see it full.

Nice job

Good looking shed. Aren't you glad that you have in ready to load. I split some white oak this weekend.

Good job Crash.

What did I do over the weekend? Not much. I did get in a couple of bike rides though.

Very nice shed! Hung out in the pool and drank beer! Starting thinking about moving this winters wood into the barn, then had more beer.

This week end a few hours on the mill.

Very nice looking shed!! I spent the weekend at Niagara Falls with the family. On the US side that is. It's been at least 19years since I've been there last, lots of changes, some better some worse. It's almost 2hrs from home.

Nice shed....

I played golf, drank beer.
Hung out by the pool, drank beer.
Watched a couple softball games, drank beer
Played some more golf, and yup - drank beer
Did I mention how thirsty I was?

Tarpon fishing Friday night & Saturday afternoon....very POOR
Poker at friend's house Sat night....very GOOD
Resplit some too large water oak Sunday afternoon....very HOT

nice shed!

I've been redoing the paths in my garden. I got tired of cutting the grass in there so I cut everything real low to the ground, put down some landscape fabric and 3" of mulch on top. Almost finished. I still need to build 2 more beds for the garden and Ill be at my full capacity for the fenced in area.

Rewired the phone jacks in the house (ok, watched the phone company guy do it, time to cancel that inside wire maintenance option)
Cut the grass
Built a sawbuck (only smashed one finger)
Cut down a good size stem from a red maple that was splitting off from the rest of the tree, bucked most of the bigger pieces of that.
Complained about the heat
Checked Craigslist a lot for scrounges and quads
Drank a bunch of beer with my brother and BIL
Drew, tore up and redrew plans for a woodshed
Tried to get my dog to understand he can't chase the turkeys when they are on the other side of the new underground fence.

Nice work!

What did I do this weekend...
We had a bunch of family over for a BBQ.
Got in a little RC flying time
Mowed the lawn
Re-mortared all the loose stones on the north wall of the foundation
Stacked a cord for 11/12
Drank a lot of beers..

Ya know, just the usual....

Headed to Vermont friday afternoon in the rain, got to my friends place that the guy he bartered with dropped 10 trees that are still in log length, with no saw. Soooo....sat on the covered porch drank beer watching the rain. Saturday went rafting in the Deerfield River. Back to the house more beer lot's of food. Nice hike up Haystack mountain on Sunday.

Added more to my collection of free wood, some Sweet Gum, dead standing Cherry and some White ash.
The big stack in the middle will easily get me through 2010/2011 and then some. The rest is for 2011/2012.

I thought about sharpening my chains and going to cut some wood but sat down until the feeling went away. Watched the Brickyard 400, mowed the yard and got the ash I split last week off the driveway and into my 2012/13 stack.

I did go cut up an ash tree for a friend today.

Sharpened a couple chains and cleaned my bar. Also split two cords and lost 5lbs of weight. Currently I'm drinking beer and putting those 5lbs back on. :cheese: And....cruising the hearth forum. Tomorrow I'll be bucking and loading two more cords to throw in my "to-do" splitting pile.

Wife worked . . . so I played . . . some.

Mowed most of the lawn.

Returned bottles and cans for $9.

Geocached.

Went on two ATV rides on two separate trail systems.

Brushed and signed a section of our own ATV club trail.

Brought the 4Runner to the garage and got the good news that the under-carriage looks pretty good in terms of rust . . decided to keep 4Runner.

Put two new tires on Honda Accord.

Finished the weekend off by taking the trailer over to the family homestead, picked up a load of wood, split it and stacked it . . . a little more than a 1/3 of a cord.

Nice shed! Went to the Brickyard 400. Drank Beer.

Crash, did you use 2 by's for the siding, that is a very nice building and a very reasonable price also.

I actually used 5/4" deck boards because they were the cheapest treated lumber by lineal foot. I would've preferred just 1x6's or 1x4's or something thinner, but ohh well.
