Valve issues on a Honda engine

I've got just shy of 20 hours on my GX390. It's been a great motor so far, I installed an electric start kit on mine. Even when it was pull start only, it pulled very smoothly.

Based on your avatar, I can see why you would do that

I love building engines. did my first rebuild at 13. my first hot rod was an 81 Camaro when I was 17 and that was my first 500hp engine. i can not describe the feeling i got when that engine fired up for the first time. just incredible! then it started a fury. lol i have done 25-30 engines. mostly just with a very mild build. the one in my avatar is about 625 hp at the wheels. but it is stripped sitting on the stand and get'n a little more. my goal is to get close to 700 hp with out the blower. i have done go carts and lawnmowers too.
on a rebuild numbers are important. check and double check all clearances. the internet can tell you everything you need about how to wear on engines and parts.

Log splitter with a 16gpm pump. Very pleased with it, has always fired up first pull when choked, and fires up within a few seconds when cranking.

That is so cool.

I feel the same way about framing houses. From the forts in the woods when I was 12yrs old to the 15000 sq ft mansions I have done, every nail and piece of wood has been complete satisfaction

my main income is my mechanical business. i love it. i really enjoy doing new construction and always have. it's harder to make money at them but for me it's enjoyable. i work with a couple builders. you are right, every nail or piece of tin anything just makes me enjoy it more. don't get me wrong, i cuss a lot and have bad days but i think the good outweighs the bad. i am sure you can relate. lol. now i wish i had one lined up. i am ( hopefully) building a new house in the spring.

I'm running a Timberwolf TW5 it has a 22gpm 2stage pump

Yeah I can identify. After owning my business for close to 24 yrs I've become more management then labor and I hate it. The occasional times I can swing a hammer bring me more joy then anything. I love the business I'm in but hate the business end of it.

that is the hardest part for me. and i have three biz's. lol. my wife decided she wanted to do the office work. so my secretary left and my wife took over. this was a bad idea. lol. she thought it was a cake job. i ran the entire show up until i bought the last business. i never realized how much time and effort i put into the office side of it until i hired my first secretary. my stress level dropped an easy 50%. then i hired a sales guy, and it seemed like everything fell in place like a puzzle. it feels nice to be able to get home from work at 6-7 most every night. i can't count the night's i fell asleep at the office just doing paperwork or bids. i actually enjoy self employment more now than ever. now i just need to get the biz' out of ny. then maybe i can make money too. lol.
