$650 each, for both of mine plus free home delivery and 0 Interest from Home depot, once in the spring and once in the fall of 2010.I paid 850 at my local Home Depot for a brand new unblemished NC-30 and walked out the store with it..
Why walk out with the stove when you can have them ship it to you for free?Home Depot's website has it listed for $899 as of now. Id rather pay $899 and walk out of the store with a brand new, unblemised stove bought from a reputable superstore than get a blemished stove purchased from a smaller company and have to worry about shipping. Thats just my opinion that doesnt really matter anyway.

Order online and go with the free shipping. Trust me. It is SO much easier than bringing it home yourself.Well, I managed to convince the wife. Going to HD today to pay for my brand spankin new 30 NC for $853.50. I Plan to pick it up this weekend. I've read the curing threads. First few burns will be in the driveway. Thanks for all the advice guys. Really looking forward to this heater. I'll post pics if anyone is interested. Cheers!
The 13 is a few hundred cheaper than the 30. I have yet to find a 30 for less than $650. Mostly around $899.You can catch them on sale here every now and then and get one for 450-500 new in the spring if they have one left over. I bought a new 13nc two months ago for $489 and every one says they are $650-800 other places.
wish I could wait for a better deal but I wanna be warm NOW. Since this the last year for the tax break I'll take that as my discount.
I know a lot of people are saying wait till spring for a deal. I just bought my NC 30 from home depot along with a new chimney liner. I got 10% off the total plus an additional $100 gift card, after they messed up my order. So in total I paid $1400 for a brand new NC-30 and liner. To get the 10% off you have to call a few times, and request it. I called two times and online chatted twice. I explained my "good customer" situation and explained that I could get the same product sold as summer's heat from Lowes for the same price due to price matching. On the second chatting attempt I got my 10% discount. It is important to not be a jerk. Be nice and nice things happen. Also, if your have a local HD that stocks the stove, you can walk in and ask the store manager for $100 off. Same concept applies, be nice. My understanding is a manager can take $100 off any item, that does not include 10% military discount. good luck.Hi All,
I've been lurking on the forums now for probably 6-8 weeks and I'm very grateful for the all the knowledge I've obtained so far. This is the first time we're trying to heat with wood this winter in Maine. Otherwise it's oil for us. I bought an Englander NC 13 used from craiglist. Great little stove but I need more. I don't have the money to buy new.
There is a used NC-30 about an hour and fifteen minute drive from me. It was made in 2007 but the stove has not been used in the last 2 years and is sitting in the guys garage. He wants $400 for it I'm hoping I can get him down to $300 as it needs at least one ceramic fiber board (maybe two) and a new gasket.I've posted some pics. I don't care about the cosmetics as it's a basement stove. I welcome any input from the more experienced and knowledgeable forum members. Thanks so much.

I agree, since i got mine 3 years ago i think they adjusted their production and purchase numbers so they dont have to discount heavily in the off season. I did not see any major discounts for about 2 Yrs even when using the zip code trick.I dont believe anyone has found those super deals everyone talks about recently so don't sweat it.. I waited for about a year looking/checking for a 30 at those prices and it never happened -
I just got a NC 30 new from home depot for roughly 700.I agree, since i got mine 3 years ago i think they adjusted their production and purchase numbers so they dont have to discount heavily in the off season. I did not see any major discounts for about 2 Yrs even when using the zip code trick.
I paid 850 at my local Home Depot for a brand new unblemished NC-30 and walked out the store with it. They put it in my pick-up with a forklift and I drove it home. When i got home i took all the bricks out of it while it was in the truck along with the ash drawer and my neighbor and I carried it from my driveway, around my house, through the sliding rear doors into the house and placed it onto the Hearth. I dont think 850 is a good deal for a blemished NC-30 that requires aggravation of planning and driving to the nearest shipping terminal to pick it up. 500 bucks may be worth it but not 850.
