HR1 is the low setting for pounds per hour (PPH), how many pounds of pellets/corn per hour, HR5 (I believe your stove only goes to 5, mine goes to 9) is the high amount of PPH, everything else in between is proportional to the high and low.
The DF does the same thing, you have a high and low setting everything else in between is by proportion of those numbers. What does the 240 or 260 stand for? I've never gotten a straight answer from USSC about that. I'll just assume it's CFM (cubic feet per minute). It really doesn't matter I guess considering that the air is free unlike corn or pellets.
I'll add a post here showing how the numbers work for certain settings but will have to dig through my note books, it's here somewhere, even my wife says they are!

ive never monkeyd with my DF settings (the DF and AUX settings) i only adjusted my PPH. 5.5 on the high end, 1.25 on the low end.. Sounds to me like your feed ratio is off.. or your corn may be wet? i mix my pellets and corn for more btu's and run my agitator (aux) on setting 1. i get clinkers but i fling them out on a regular basis.. on sundays i clean the stove and buff down the white buildup i get on my agitator.. when it gets build up on it, it squeaks on teh burn pot.. @FirepotPete You selling those Clinker pots yet?
i also monitor air temps (via a stove pipe thermometer) and auger timing (just counting the amount of time the auger runs, and rests) then record them so i know for future problems.. (if an auger motor is failing, your timing will be off, or if board is going haywire, same scenario..)
Currently running HR4 (outta 9) , DF6, and RF9.. pushing 250 degree air.. its cold here tonight. lol....house is 81.. hahaha.

Auger aND panel seem good. I was just getting to much corn for the flame to burn it. I put the low feed end on 1.5 and raised the low end air. I'll see what happens. Df, and Aux are both on auto

an old guru told me that if your using HR5 or lower, run your DF on 5.. anything over 5, set it to DF9.. i never run stove on auto..
Ive had GREAT heat otuput using DF5 on hr1-hr4.. Try setting yoru DF to 5 and running it like you were (provided your not above hr5) Also.... Does your have the manual draft slide thingy? May need to open it a bit if so.. (mine is from 2004, its one of the originals without a draft slide)

I closed my damper. The flame is dancing around really nice. Before it looked like Chris Farley trying out for dancing with the stars
Hey @mustangwagz, good to see ya around and warm! Ya it's going to continue to be cold. Not looking forward to the snow starting here tomorrow, up to 12", who knows! I actually have one clinker pot left that I had saved because I wasn't sure how they would stand up. I'm on my 9th or 10th year now and mine looks like it did after the first burn. I'll pm you about the pot as that is the only one I have and can't make any more.
I agree that if he ran corn last year and didn't mess with the settings that it's probably either wet corn or very dense compared to last years. I wonder what the bushel weight is?
OK, for the settings of the feed rate (HR) and how it works by proportion, here is what my stove is set at.
HR1 - 1.5pph, HR9 - 5pph, so it will look like this through the entire HR's, it will increase by 0.4375pph for each HR I go up.
HR1 - 1.5
HR2 - 1.9375
HR3 - 3.375
HR4 - 2.8125
HR5 - 3.25
HR6 - 3.687
HR7 - 4.125
HR8 - 4.562
HR9 - 5
When I first got this stove I was told to push mode and auger delay at the same time. What does that control?
You got me on that one, I see nothing in the manual about it, but if you are pushing the mode button and the auger delay and nothing pops up on the board then maybe you are just putting the stove into manual or auto because that's what the mode button does.
Press and hold them too. The screen will pop up. You can select the heat range setting then hit ON, then a number pops up and you CAn change it.

Pete knows his stuff. i always refer to him or Flipmeister for info. Flip aint around this year since the price of heating fuel is so low. but when it climbs again, he'll be more active here.
Yo! C - 1 came on, all the indicator lights went off, if I pushed the HR Up button it went all the way to C - 5 and then stopped. Couldn't get out of it by pushing "ON" so pushed them together again and the stove went into shut down mode! Will have to look into what that does! There is a reason for it, I just have never seen it mentioned or in any manual that I can remember.

Well when I push the ON button it doesn't do anything. See these damn boards they put out have several versions, I've seen the first 6041's that have the same exact board that my 6039 has, the a few months later they added the corn setting that you could adjust, mine will not change except the C, from 1 - 5, does it do anything on my board as far as how much it feeds? Doesn't appear to be anyway to change it and I have no idea what those C rates are set at. Then I saw the 6041's with the igniters come out.
All of these boards are basically the same, some just have a couple of extra bells and whistles added. I'll have to play with that when the weather is a little warmer, don't want to mess up a good thing!!
Stove is burning better. I lowered the low end pph to 1.5. I haven't messed with the air yet. After about 6 hours on HR 4. The burn pot becomes full. This is much better considerin I could only burn and hour before you guys helped me. Im burning on HR 4. My Dr is on 5, Aux is on 6. Could I mess with the low and high ends? Or just adjust the df?
Hey, if it's filling up then you will have to either bump up the highest DF setting or lower the highest HR (feedrate) setting.
Even though your stove only goes from HR1 - HR5 you should still be able to burn 5.0pph on HR5 but you will have to change the DF setting to accomplish that. Wait! Are you running in manual with the DF DR on 5 all the time? And the DF setting does go to 9 on that board doesn't it? By tweaking the HR feed rates and the DF rates you should be able to run totally on Auto, only to change the HR settings as the weather changes.
Something funny from last night after pushing the Mode and Aux buttons. Mine will not go back to running properly when just pushing the ON button, I know that pushing the ON button is needed when you make changes to any of the settings for the settings to take effect but it does nothing on my board when pushing the Mode and Aux. Anyway, after getting the stove back in the HR mode last night I went to bed, this A.M. I'm hearing a slight grinding noise every now and then. chit! Auger gear box going out! Of course with the coldest nights coming in a day or two. A while later I noticed that the lights under the Mode and Aux were not flashing as they should. Sure enough it was in manual yet and the agitator motor was spinning. I haven't turned it on in 9 years, as soon as I turned it off the grinding noise went away!! Whew!

I've been out clearing snow this A.M. and will be again later so I'll chime in when I can.
Have you looked at my signature line about cleaning these stoves? A lot of nooks and crannies that get over looked and build up a lot of crud. Do you have the electrical knockout plugs in the wall behind the fake fire brick?
What is you exhaust pipe configuration? 90° elbows, how many, 45°'s, how many? How long are the horizontal and vertical runs of pipe?
Does the burn seem clean on the higher HR's? Lower HR's?
Are you running the room fan on auto or 9 or 5 if that's the highest? I always run mine on the highest (9) to strip the heat from the stove instead of blowing out the exhaust.
