It was a pretty warm weekend here also....got about a cord and a half split and stacked being the weather was in my favor. Wife still had the stove going though....it was still too cold in the house for her, I'd rather burn the oil when it gets in the 50's, and save on wood since we are probably not gonna make it on supply this year.:(

Hit 70 here this weekend, but it was with all rain. The sun rarely shines in Ky in the winter. I fired up the stove yesterday for the first time in 4 days. Well, I saved some wood.

@NortheastAl, Welcome to the forum. We are almost neighbors, i am in Dutchess county. Please be careful with how you dispose of those ashes.

In college (in the mid 80's), I dated a girl from Poughkeepsie area (southern area near thje Galleria mall). I had a lot of fun in that town, always loved that area. Especially beautiful along the river. Almost married her, in a place right on the river actually. I've taken my boat up the river a few times, which is a really nice ride/vaca.

Cold weather is good for keeping the riff raff out. :) And by that, I mean the nastiest bugs and poisonous snakes. Typical January here. Single digits last night and 20's today.

Yep, 9F this morning.

Im just glad I am able to run the stove again. LOL.
@Machria, I live down the street from Poughkeepsie, I love the area. Its a great area to raise kids.

Just watched the weather on my local news station which is out of Hagerstown MD and looks like next Tuesday they are calling for a high of 24 down there, so I'm guessing it will be in the upper teen here for highs and probably single digits at night. Sure is about time it got here. Although if I didn't burn wood I would probably never want to see those kind of temperatures. Calling for sleet and freezing rain tonight, its certainly not the 3 feet of snow I would like.

Well, Be careful what you wish for, I woke up to 6 inches of snow and no school for kids. Just when the previous snow had melted the yard is covered again.
