stihl ms 250 help

I'm having similar problems that the OP is having, except mine runs decent for about 10 minutes (smokes a little), starts to get weak, and then shuts down and won't start until the next day.

My money is on ignition for that one. Impulse line issues would create problems that aren't so... repeatable. Eventually the coil will crap out completely. Run the saw until it dies then immediately check for spark. There be the answer you seek.

i have a stihl ms 250 chainsaw that will start and run fine for a min or two and shuts off and wont start . anyone having this trouble

Just had mine gone through. It had a bad fuel line.The fuel line is around $50.

As in, I probably need to think about getting a coil?

Check it for spark right after it dies before you go buy that coil. If you still have spark then you should check out the fuel lines.

WHOA! :bug: You need to find a better dealer my friend. That line should be around $12-$15. Did that price include labor to install it?
