"Anyone" would be breaking the law in Massachusetts. Cords must be priced as full cords, and anyone pricing face cords gets the appropriate poking and prodding.

I recently bought five full cords from a local guy, $200/cord, and they measured almost exactly 128 cubic feet exactly, each. Bless him. Cooking them now in my summer solar setup!

Fractional cords not acceptable? In PA, we can use "cord", "half cord", "quarter cord", "64 cubic feet"... any valid measure of volume in cords, cubic feet or cubic yards. However, "face cords" (area, not volume) and "bush cords" are strictly forbidden. The law actually calls out the terms.

Finally got to put some wood up today. Wood split today should be for end of 24/25season and begging of 25/26 season

And not to mislead. That whole pile was not today lol. I only split about 10 wheelbarrows today. Just haven't had the time recently been working 90+hr weeks

You’re getting this much for $200 in MA? In Cape Cod of all places? That is a steal because up this way it’s at least $275 for green and up to $400 for “seasoned”.

Here in TN we're cordless. No one advertises, sells or buys wood with any mention of a cord. Pickup truck load is about the only "measurement" standard.

Snagged a bunch of pallets from work. First one came out well so I decided to make another to get ahead on wood. Tarp is a temporary roof until I finish the second shed and then I'll buy a bunch of corrugated roof panels for both. Although it's setup nicely so I might keep it up until spring.

getting the footings "level" was the biggest time suck honestly. after that I got the 2nd shed put together in under 3 hrs including paint

First pic is the firewood shed I built in summer of 2022. Second pic is of the firewood shed I finished today. Got 5 pallets for free from a local Farm Coop. Two pallets for the floor. Left and right walls. Cut one pallet in a diagonal and stacked them for the walls to be higher. The rear wall is rough sawn lumber I recently purchased. Very happy that this turned out pretty well on the cheap. Big hello from cottage country on Lake Huron, Ontario Canada

Hmmm good Idea. I am using pallets for the bottom, Sides and Back, but never thought about using them for a roof

mine are 40x48", so the shed is 16 ft long and 40" deep. for the roof i rotated them so that they were longer so i got a little extra overhang. ended up using 1 extra pallet for the roof but there's a ~4"overhand on the front/back/side

Very nice and cheap shed! I use pallets for the floor, to keep it off the ground, but neve really thought about the walls, roof. VERY cool idea!

Wife just walked by and said, "really?" Apparently she thinks there's better entertainment than looking at other people's wood sheds.

It beats the hell out of whatever is on at least 850 of our 900 television stations, at least IMO.

Yup my place in southeastern Mass is $325 cord delivered.

I can get it for 150 to 200 for a big pick up truck load, delivered. Not sure how dry, as Ive never bought any yet.

Cord won’t fit in a pickup so your maybe you are getting a half cord. Had a friend of mine deliver a pickup load last year all nicely stacked in the bed and just over a half cord. I paid $130 for a load like that last year.

Not a shed yet but the blue roof is on. I should have enough funds to build a proper shed next year so these tarps will likely get fed to the stove as I move through them. 5 12x16's from Menards for $7/EA so I can't argue with that. It's not ideal but it's gotta be better than 2' of snow sitting on the wood 🤷
