I never took a shop class. I wasted all my time in band, chorus, french, physics, and some calculus. I was pretty friendly with the shop teacher and I used his shop all the time to repair the aging lighting equipment in the auditorium. I'll bet shop would have been fun. Sounds like your daughter has an "interesting" teacher.
