Selkirk SuperVent vs. Duravent Galvanized

So I recently found out that the old chimney in my house is actually not certified for air-tight solid fuel appliances (like my Avalon Pendleton), & that combined with stovepipe-ceiling box connection issues (thread here: https://www.hearth.com/talk/threads/chimney-support-box-issues-help.174432/ ), I am considering biting the bullet & replacing the whole Class A chimney.

Since I don't have a ton of money to work with, I want to go with either Selkirk's Supervent sold at Lowes or Duravent from Home Depot.

My question is: which one is better? are there advantages/disadvantages to each one?

I am tempted to go with Duravent's galavanized chimney because it is around $10 cheaper per section than the Duravent stainless steel or the Supervent. It appears to meet all the same standards as the others, but I've heard people on here before that are hesitant to go with a galvanized chimney over stainless- is there a reason for that?

I’d steer away from the air cooled dura-vent pipe. There’s no reason to avoid Selkirk pipe, it’s just fine.

Correct. The pipe just feels and looks cheap. I always see tons of wasp and mud dobber nests down inside of the cooling wall. Solid pack pipe is always a better option in my opinion.

It is insulated. But it has half the insulation of double wall so the internal temps run much lower
