I believe the pellet stove craze has really caught on over the past five years. I will be interesting to sell how long people have been burning wood pellets....
Starting on my third year

Going into season 10 with my quad castile. Just picked up a 1200 last year so the quad will do lighter duty in the upstairs fireplace now. Sure beats electric heat in CT!

Year 4 starting now..... Chopped plenty of wood as a youngster for my Mom and Dad.... Hauling bags of pellets is much better.....

We bought our first pellet stove back in 1992. An Earth Stove Traditions TP40 which served us faithfully until this past winter when we burned through the heat exchanger tubes. I really loved that stove, all 405 pounds of her. lol

1st year, installed this fall, 2 ton pellets. Its burning right now 70-72 in home, very happy to have found this fourm.

This is my 6th year. Five with Whitfield Profile 30, this will be my first with ST Croix Revolution Furnace. Hoping for the best.
:-)

It's been at least 10 yrs for me. I can't remember if I had it installed in 2000 or 2001.
I just had another one installed this week. This one is a furnace and should heat the whole house.

one month

going on 4th year, used to burn 3-4 tanks HHO per heating season, paid $197 ton / 4 tons this year, figure i should save approx $2300 this year alone, 4 tanks, 3.50 gal,225 gals per fill =$3150 - $788 pellets =$2362, gotta love it, plus you get a nice ambience .

This is our second year and we already turned into pellet pigs. Bought five tons when it was still 90 out, now we are looking for a second stove for the basement.

Only my second year with the pellet burner i burned wood for about ten years before that. I had a friend with a tree service so the wood was free but that all ended with one little heart attack? When the free wood dried up i bought a used pellet burner and from what i have learned here i should have done it years ago. The houses around me are much happier now also because of no more smoke plus i don't have wood stacked all over either. When this stove takes a crap i will probly buy another unless i move to a more tropical location?

My Fourth Year In The Wood Pellet Game, I have Saved A Considerable Amount of money Avoiding Oil, The Only Time My Oil Burner Turns on is to Heat My Water.
