Calling all inventors, tinkers, and stove experts:

The Alliance for Green Heat is throwing a Pellet Stove Design Challenge at Brookhaven National Laboratory April 6th-8th, 2016. We are looking for innovative and high preforming pellet stove submissions. We are interested in prototypes, souped up stoves, and stoves already on the market. Applicants must show some performance data (i.e. Carbon Monoxide and Oxygen). We are not accepting water heating stoves, batch fed stoves, or cook stoves. Click for more information about the Pellet Stove Design Challenge.

Any and all are welcome to attend, click for attendee registration. Click to enter your pellet stove in the competition. If you're not sure if you would like to attend, but want information updates, click for the letter of interest form. In addition, we are looking for experts to give presentations on all things pellet heating. Email [email protected] if you would like to give a presentation at the event.

Click (broken link removed to http://www.forgreenheat.org/decathlon/teams.html) for some of the possible competitors. One team is souping-up a Quadra-Fire Classic Bay 1200, and we are anxiously waiting to see the improvements!

We all stay at the same hotel in Riverhead, NY and it's a great opportunity for networking and/or collaboration efforts.

We look forward to seeing new innovation pellet stove technologies!
