I once tried to put one of those 1.5 ton pallets in an F250 and it went right to the axle immediately just sitting there. Sliding it forward as I usually do didn't do any good either. We had to break it down and redistribute it around the bed to make it fly. Funny, you can carry a ton and a half of gravel in a box and it rides beautifully in any half ton but those pallets do booger up the weight distribution. Take a sharp turn and you might become the next youtube star. You don't see many of those big palleta around here anymore. I was surprised that they didn't make a comeback when the fuel pirces were sky high but they didn't even them. I get the impression people and businesses don't like them any more than I do.
Stock truck. But it's a Dodge, not a Ford ;-) I was surprised how well it drove, it was no problem at all, really. My old truck though, I'd put a ton in the back and it felt like the front tires were ready to lift off the ground.
