I had to lube the door latch this morning. It gets rough feeling after a while and needs some lube. I have been using Maxima chain wax (for motorcycle chains) because I have it handy and I LIKE the way it smells. When the door is warm (not hot!) it penetrates to the internals and really smooths it out. It sets, or dries, to a non-sticky lube that lasts a good long while. I know others use graphite powder or spray. Maybe when my chain wax is gone I will give that a go. That might be 10 years from now. I installed an auto oiler on my chain driven bike so I don't really use the wax for the bike anymore.

I also have PJ-1 chain lube for non O-ring chains but I only use that when the door is off and cold. It stinks when it warms up.

I use a dab of high temp anti seize on my hinges.

I use anti-seize (zinc, it is what I have) on the hinge pins but the Summit latch would be impossible to get grease into without disassembly, so I use a spray.

My wife came downstairs this morning and said "it smells hot". That means the hot steel smell (not the terrible curing paint smell) you get when your stove reaches a temperature it hasn't seen in a while. Not offensive, but detectable. I call that a win for the chain wax.
