Can't hurt. I looked at the equilibrium moisture for your area, and it's low enough. The Red will dry pretty quickly there and the Cherry won't be too far behind. I think you'll have some pretty dry wood by this fall.

I mean, it ain't Arizona but it's close to what it is here, and that Red really amazed me by how fast it dried. First one I got was a storm-damaged yard bird from down the road, so it was live wood, and within three months I could already tell that it would be good by fall.

Hey, Bud, if you're all done, I could use a little help. I still need to cut, split and stack about six cords give or take, to stay two years ahead of us and my MIL. That's not counting trying to get my SILs ahead (cutting only)...That's probably gonna do it.
