I was just directed to this forum and am excited about being a new member.

We inherited a Vermont Castings Reliance 2220 pellet stove with our home. We thought we were having a problem with the combustion motor, and found a replacement via Grainger.com.

However, it seems the thermocouple/ESP probe now needs to be replaced and we're having a heck of a time tracking one down. We've tried Grainger, stovepartsplus.com, calling Rogers small engine in NY, and of course, the new owners and some local dealers of Vermont Castings.

Would any techies have suggestions on where we could find one? We understand it's called an ESP probe; seems to measure the exhaust in order to turn the auger on and off. The PC board has "Harman" on it, the identification on the Board was "F851AA", and "02664B0991". The probe has a 2 prong plug which plugs into this board. The other end had 2 wires going into a jacket into the exhaust blower box. It's 2 wires, one wrapped in white and the other in red; both are wrapped in a brown/black stripped cloth shield.

We're at 8,300' and sure would love to burn those pellets we bought! Thanks in advance for any help you could offer.

Hi, did you ever track down a thermocouple for your reliant pellet stove?
Ben, I think you'll get a faster response if you email them direct instead of waiting for a reply on the forum....their one and only post was the one you responded to from Jan.'08...chances are they don't view the forum anymore.
