That stuff will be great firewoodHearthKB said:Nervous? Uhhh... Yeah... a little bit. Reason being; this is my first year with a wood burning stove. I've been told that 4 cords should get me through the season trying to heat a 1950 sq ft house with a Woodstock Fireview. BUT... since I'm so new to this, I'm sure they'll be some trial and error along with the fact that the wood I'm purchasing as been cut and split around Thanksgiving 2007. So I don't know how burnable and efficient it will be. The wood dealer said it should burn great but who can you trust these days. I think I'm going to purchase a moisture meter to see how seasoned it actually is. WISH ME LUCK!!
Any fellow Long Islanders want to tell me how many cords they burn each year? Thanks!
