Yes: an employee of the installation co said the braided rope on the door "was installed improperly. that's a manufacturers defect."
I will get to that at some point. I've just become accustom to burning a shitton of wood
The problem is you may destroy the stove before you get to it.

Howso?
"destroy"????? it's designed to burn wood.....
It is designed to burn wood with the proper amount of air coming in at the designed location. You could easily be over firing the stove which can destroy a stove pretty quickly

"over firing"..... what is that?
Running the stove to hot. You are also at risk of cracking due to uneven heat because of the air leak at the door.

There is, should be, a lot of this info in the manual belonging to your stove. I suggest you read it. This is very elementary knowledge, which also has safety implications, that everyone who uses a stove should know.

I have to ask why the installation company or dealer has not come out to fix this? Get some red or black RTV and properly fix the gasket now. The fireplace will be more controlled and efficient, burning less wood and putting out more heat. Burning it as is with the known leaky door gasket will eventually damage parts in the firebox of the fireplace and it is likely that will void the warranty.

It absolutely will void the warranty
