From what I've seen, the mills that use logs or chips for a fiber source don't and probably can't produce the same quality pellets as mills with a dedicated fiber souce, so I think this disparity in pellet qulity will always exist.
Not always the case. Vermont wood pellets is also log to chip. And they are a pretty good rival to the mills with a dedicated source. They have worked hard to get there and have done an awesome job IMHO. GAP/Power House were also doing well as a log to chip pellet. But they seemed to have slipped and the ash content is hurting them some. But they have a dense pellet.
Which Geneva pellet are you referring to?
Big sister to Maine Choice. If Geneva could improve their density, I think they could gain a larger following.
Finally a pellet that's CHEAPER up here! Seen em at 209 in some places lately. Big box bagging but same pellet
I can get them for $209 at TSC when they have them. I have a few bags in the stash. If it wasn't for HD have the PTL's I would be buying the MWP. PTL are also $209/ton But this Turman deal was a shocker, as the price rivaled the box stores with a discount coupon.
