Jotul, Tax Credit, and The Dealers who think the US Gov't is putting their products on sale for them

I do know the area. I have done a great deal of work in the Centre, AL region and traveled a great deal between Atlanta, Birmingham, and Knoxville. Rome was home during the work in that area. Lots of driving between Knoxville, Birmingham, and Atlanta.

As the crow flies, not far, but Lavender and Simms mountains lie between me and Rome. If you know the area, I'm on the eastern bank of the Chattooga River (not the one from "Deliverance") near the south end of Taylor's Ridge.

Just wanted to toss in, we just started a new sale this week, 10% the entire order including labor, up to $400 discount max. Not sure if it only applies to jobs we install or cash/carry also.

I owe you all the credit in the world. But, you know, it's not official until the actual retailer says it's so. That's what everyone here is telling me at least. Off topic -- so, have you made up your mind? What new stove have you decided to purchase?

It seems like the Phoenix would be the better choice but for some reason, the Fireview "feels" like the right one, but, definitely haven't pulled the trigger. My current thought is to buy one of the stoves and replace the Morso with it, see how it does on its own and if it can't quite handle it, install the Morso upstairs. It was easy to justify the cost of my first stove but trying to justify this one just to gain a little more heat and a lot more burn time is a lot harder, especially if I also need to spend the money to install the Morso upstairs.

My biggest concern at the moment is to learn how to stack wood over 5' tall and have the stack stay up for over 2 years rather than 1 week (see post to thread in The Hearth Room and please note, it was less than a 1/4 cord that came down but it still pisses me off)! :red:

Woodstock soapstone is is having a preseason sale and with the fed tax credit I just got the flyer in the mail the other day there saying after all the discounts that a fireview is going for 1,623$ but that doesn't include shipping . there saying the list price is 2,700......
