I have a Jotul F3 that has been burning hotter than the last few seasons. After dollar bill testing the door and ash door gaskets with no issuesk I tried a smoke test. I found that smoke was getting sucked towards the top of the ash housing (not the door). While burning I inspected around the top of the ash housing and could see embers clear as day through a small opening around the top left corner of the ash housing. After looking at the Jotul F3 manual, it looks like the Ash housing gasket that seals the ash housing to the bottom of the stove has deteriorated. The manual calls for a 'sheet gasket' (part # 128213). Is anyone familiar with this gasket and has changed it? How difficult is it to change and is it possible to change while the stove is hooked up (without tipping on its side)? Anyone have a source for the gasket (64 in the pic below).
Any info/help/tips are greatly appreciated. Thanks!
