That is great news ! I suspected the new card would come set for a red ESP and I have never seen the piece of paper they ship with the replacement card. I would hope they had highlighted the issue with matching dip switches. Enjoy your stove !
Picture of my spare red probe (P43). You may want to switch over in the future if it will fit. Did your original ESP fail? I'm not sure but I know you did measure one of them.

The original tested at 400 k ohms, another Amazon cheapie I tried to replace it with showed continuity between the wires, the new oem harman replacement tested at 650 k ohms. That is the same size as what I have here. What is the benefit of switching to a red wire probe? The p61 continues to impress btw, it responds to every adjustment in room temp for the first time since I’ve owned it. I can’t believe it. It’s a different stove.

There should be no difference as long as the black ones work. If you have further issues with black, I would consider switching as Dane Harman switched.

You should try your old board with the new ESP when the heating season is over...never know the old board may still be good.

Oh, ok. Gotcha. That makes sense. Im really grateful to you and the forum members. This is the kind of stuff I need to know. I was on the fence about keeping the p61 until now. I have been wasting a lot of money the last three years. It ran wide open pretty much with no adjustment capability with the old parts. Now I can fine tune it. It’s here to stay. Very cool, thanks for mentioning the red wire probe upgrade. Wildo next replacement.

Good idea. And also all those other parts are spare too! I'd also like a drive in his car.
