Hey, I was fine with it staying in Canada. But we need the moisture bad.

2" of the white stuff on the ground and more coming down. 74::F upstairs, just right for a nap before my phone rings and I go into plow mode.

Woke up to over 6 inches of snow and blowing hard from the NE with temps falling and still snowing. Forcast change from 4-8 to 6-12 inches. 10 below zero tonight.

How are your flamingos holding up considering the conditions?

They say we might get a wintry mix this evening and changing to rain tomorrow, maybe, depending and such.

just starting here. coming down at about a 45 degree angle, thank god its the fine variety and not the wet heavy stuff.

I guess I'll go get the kids shovels out of the shed.

I turned the stove off at 8:30am to clean it. 8 hours later the stove is still off and it's 71 in my living room.

First time it's been over 0 in a month I believe. Stove still needed a bag this morning, but usage should drop down to 1.5 bags a day for 2-3 days, then back to -20. Its a smoking hot 4* out right now.

However, it's snowing, and I'll take -20 over snow any day -_-

Really? I am just the opposite. Snow is a blast.......but -20??? There is nothing remotely fun about that. But, I'd rather be outside than inside.

Is it still deer season?

York county, Pa here, deer season "firerarms" ended yesterday freezer is half full between my daughter and me. As far as cold weather we are lucky if we had a 29 deg night yet, forecast is a high of 65 on Monday, very mild so far.

I have been still running my stove 24/7, on lowest settings just to keep the chill off.

It's 8:15 PM Dec. 8. It's 34::F in Central Maine. My stove is idling. It's boring. Is anyone having to crank their stoves because it's really cold out?
9 degrees 15 inches of blowing snow- no visibility- all highways are closed in Minnesota. Stove is faithfully doing its duty burning two year old Indeck pellets. House is a cozy 72 degrees with the Bixby idling.

Is "A" where you got the stash barried? :p
Nah, no need for OMV style security out here. honest, hard working, middle class folks around here. not sure where I fit in?

Leave the keys in the ignition, back door unlocked. If anyone wanted they could clear me out in no time.

Got 8" of snow since Friday night. Today's high was 9° and it has dropped to 4° on its way to a predicted low of -8°. Shut the stove down at 10:50 this morning and started it back up at 4:10 this afternoon. Currently 71° in the house.

Minus 3::C here in eastern Ontario with freezing rain coming down like it is going out of style! Should make for an interesting drive to work in the morning if it isn't too bad out...just hope the power stays on!!

Congrats on the successfull hunts. But as they say, no pics.....

I ran my stove hard for a few hours yesterday and had the house up to 80. I had to dry the fresly cleaned carpets. ;lol

Pretty close to 6" of wet heavy stuff. A few miles in any direction they got half that, just lucky I guess. Going down to the low teens tonight.

Nice place bro! I see plenty a room for an OCD stash. ::-)

hotprinter seeing where you live is Santa busy in that deep freeze ? I remember those days back in the early 70s was stationed in Fairbanks would get up and listen to the Radio say Good Morning the HIGH for today will be 60 below ! Loved Alaska but not that ! Stay warm !

11 below this morning, the wind went down though. On track to use less than 60lbs for a day. Nice to have the 1500 sq/ft of heated floor as a heat bank.

57 today . in Pa . maybe next month.
