Your t-stat doesn't have the ability to handle a solid fuel device.
There is no way to set a swing or dead zone (a temperature range that results in no state change at the control board of the heating device) on it. The stoves controller is doing what it is supposed to do (weather it has a full deck to play with is a different matter).
