Holy crap... I thought I was cold blooded. 82 would run me out of the house. 75 is plenty.save$ said:48 bags, Wife likes it hot, room temp that is! The thermometer reads 82. Wife is wearing a sweater! Her blood count is down. She had surgery 4 times this year. Hoping for a better year in 2011
Just dumped in #25 of my Uncle Jed's. 3 tons left plus 2 tons Somersets. If we have a mild winter should be enough left for next season! :cheese:
I have a very busy life as i am sure many of you do as well. so how do you guys keep track of the bags you have burned ????
This year I decided to keep track. Every time I put one in the hopper, I mark it on a calendar that I keep a few feet from the stove. I keep a running total. 27 bags so far.
I am standing at 10 bags burned and 90 left. I didn't need to burn the 10 other than the wood heat is so much warmer feeling it is hard to leave it off. When you have 32,000,000 btu at your disposal it is hard to not partake of some of them.
On bag #6. It's been warm enough to shut the stove down during the day. My wife likes it cool. I'm on blood thinners and like it a bit warmer. We comprimise at 68. I would prefer 72+ (but not 82

10 bags left today on last year's pallet, one "waiting in the wings" and one about to go in the stove after I wax the hopper. 
Gonna see how well I can get them to slide. I still need to buy some high heat metal tape to cover the spots that dip in around the auger... but that's another topic.

I store mine in the cellar, every time I bring one up I mark it in a notebook, then I just have to know whats in the hopper and in the bucket to get my burned total.

I have 1 ton pallets, each layer is 5 bags, I just count the layers left and odd bags on a layer.

But just yesterday it finally dipped below 20F. This morning when I got up the truck said it as 11F outside.

35 so far, but stove is our only heat source. Wife likes it warm, so what do you do? I hang out in the garage.... Got some good hiding spots out there. :coolgrin:
