Here's a funny one and question

So this week I noticed my flame was getting lazy and loopy, it was nice out so I figured I would do a complete clean. I popped off my outside cap to clean the pipe. I have a multi piece rod with a brush. I got to my last piece and it broke. I have 4 pieces and my brush stuck in my exhaust pipe. I was fortunate enough grab just enough of the brush to pull all of it out of the bottom of the exhaust pipe.

I have a Harman Absolute 43. There is nothing in the maintenance schedule or videos about cleaning out the fines pot. However when I emailed Harman they gave me the standard contact your Harman Dealer but yes there is a fines pot that needs cleaned out. I have never noticed a fines pot and will be taking the back off again to look for this thing. Yes there is a question here; anyone have info about a fines pot on Absolute 43?
Definitely interested in their response.
Boy did I get a blow off from harman on this:

My Question is Regarding: Other
My Question is: We have an Absolute 43 and really like the stove. I routinely clean the stove as per the manual. Other than a few initial issues the stove has really served us well. I do have a concern though. We have had the stove for 4 years. Until I was on a stove forum did I learn of a "FINES POT" that needs cleaning. No where in my manual or online videos did it mention the cleaning for the "FINES POT" for an Absolute 43. It talked about everything else but that. This weekend I found the pot, opened it up and was very irritated at the build up that I discovered. I cleaned it out and it is noticeably more quiet. Since I have posted this another Absolute owner chimed in with the same concerns. I am wondering why Harman did not include this information in the stoves manual or your online videos on cleaning?

Thank you for your inquiry. I have found the information you are referencing is called the fines cover and this is a cleanout on the feed assembly. Please let us know if there is anything further we can assist you with.

They didnt even read the question.....

Not the type of customer service you'd expect from a company like this...

Yep! The person answering the question probably doesn't even know what or where the fines box is.

One thing for sure, by leaving this out of the cleaning instructions, they will sell more replacement auger motors once the box fills up and causes steady resistance to the Auger motor & pusher arm assembly.

And the hits just keep on coming:

Marc,

At this time we do not have a video or instructions on how to clean the feed assembly. We recommend partnering with your local authorized dealer to further assist as your authorized Harman dealer has extensive training and experience with our specific line of products, and will be able to answer any and all service and troubleshooting questions you may have. Your local dealer is also your resource for any of you service part needs, including parts or services that are covered by your current warranty we do not ship parts directly to consumers.

Thank you,

Crystal

What am I missing? I want to know Why the information exists for other Harman products but not the Absolute series stoves on basic cleaning and why this Fines Pot was not mentioned in their video or manual.

Makes me wonder what I’m missing when I clean my stove. I am very thankful for this forum and all those who contribute. I have learned a lot and have posed a question or two myself!
