Snap disc that controls my blower is shown in this picture. It has a flat surface that contacts the top of the furnace; no holes except two screw holes. You can see the outline of the snap disc in the dust on top of my furnace.

I notice in your post #53 that your wires aren't the right colors, either, (red and white) further suggesting that your furnace is not quite consistent with what SBI mass-produced according to the manual. Hopefully, in your discussions with SBI, they are aware of whatever configuration you have, so that you and they are solving the same problem.

Hi I finally got my new thermodisc is there a hole under your themodisc its hard to see on your picture and is there anything inside the tin that covers up the wire what keeps it up so it not down on the furnace

No, and no. Switch is just screwed down to the metal and the wires just lay on it too (high temp wires though) Did they send wire with the kit?

There is not a hole under my thermodisc. I am not as familiar with your older style Heatmax, but if you don't have screw holes in the top of your furnace to secure the snapdisc, you might have to make a couple screw holes. Once you screw the thermodisc to the black metal surface, the snapdisc detects the temperature of the black metal, and that's what it's intended to measure. Maybe member Wisneaky has a picture, I believe he has (had) an older style unit like yours.

And the wires just rest on the black metal.

Hi u have a picture of it. I never got a plate but they never send all the stuff the first time SBI never send me all the tin to cover the wires and only to wires I needed 4

How big is the plate mine came with a little plate about 1 inch long for the thermodisc to stop from over heating I thank.

Here is the mounting plate. There is a knockout in between the duct holes on top. You take the knockout out and line up the holes on the mounting plate and drill holes or use self tapers to mount the plate.

Hi I got a small plate with mine but it fits the small thermodisc not the bigger one, two of them came with the new thermodisc, I will send u a picture 4 hours from now when I get off work. What size is your plate

SBI told me no need to remove the knockout when installing the new snap disk.

Here is a picture of my snapdiscs. This picture is taken looking directly at the front of the furnace, with the chimney in the rear. My furnace is a later model, serial number 8xx. The snapdisc with white wires has two screws (both are removed in the picture) that screw the snapdisc into holes in the top of the furnace. The snapdisc with the red wires has three screws (all are removed in the picture) that screw the snapdisc and metal plate into holes in the tope of the furnace. The remaining two empty holes are used for some of the screws that hold the sheet metal covering over the snapdiscs and wires. I hope that helps.

Hi did u have to knock out the round piece of metel so that there is a hole or just Mount it on top of the round piece u can knock out, mine is 8** to

Mine did not come with the kit installed. I received the kit about a month ago. I asked SBI about the knockout and was told "No need to cut-out the hole just install on surface." The attached photo was taken before mounting.

Hi u have a picture are u installed it. U find your furnace working better. The little indents in top do not line up to the thermodisc and the tin that covers it

Here is another view of the switches as placed by the factory. Pics are from my phone and not the best, sorry. Still shows placement though.
I verified, the switches are surface mounted, no hole through the sheet metal under them.
The yellow line represents the two "side" duct connector holes and the green is outlining the lift eyes on the outer heat exchanger tubes


Are you still heating with the furnace bedrock1? Have there been any improvements in it's performance after trying the things suggested?
