Remove door. Remove intake dampers. Clean painted surfaces of them, Scotch Bright or remove paint with remover down to bare aluminum. I prefer CitriStrip. Paint with Stove Bright Satin Black. After air drying, wipe fin and outer edge with mineral spirits. Polish edges with Maas Metal Polish.

Clean painted area of door. If painting is required, paint with same high temperature paint as above. Air dry only. Wipe plated highlights with mineral spirits to remove paint.

Polish highlighted plated areas with Mass Metal Polish.

Install dampers and door on stove using silver anti-seize on all moving parts. Fire for final cure with heat.

If aluminum intake damper edges show damage, buff with Scotch Bright, or fine sanding gives the brushed type finish when polishing to mirror finish shows too much damage, corrosion, etc.
