That one looks much better than the one in the video. I was weary of the pivot on his.

After watching the youtube video a couple times I decided to build one.
Although I have plenty of recycled lumber and several swivel bearings salvaged from swivel base cabinet TVs, I decided to go a different way.

This round weighed 105 lbs on my bathroom scale.

Breaks down into 4 easy to handle pieces.

The head is part of an old C band satellite dish mount.
The pipe is 6'4"
The boom is an 8' section of old rusty barn door track.
The pivot point is 26.5" from the end and gives about 44" of lift range.
There is no bearing in the top, it just rides on the top of the pipe.
