True, I think it's similar to the Netherlands.
Yet many folks had company leased gas cars before.

would you consider adding an EV to reduce mileage on the truck you can’t live without. Not every trip needs a truck. I think that’s where I’m at. I can’t replace all my ICE vehicles but an EV does fine for a majority of my annual miles.
And anyone making regular short trips less than 10 minutes needs to look at how these new direct injected motors are holding up when driven like that.
I would love to and a few months ago was pricing out teslas. The problem is it’s far cheaper for me to continue to drive my paid off truck and fix it than add in an EV. I would like to, but with current prices and interest rates I can’t make the numbers work. Maybe after my wedding I could revisit it, but right now all of my extra income goes to saving for that and paying off the personal loan I took out for my polebarn. Both will be paid by the end of the current year.

Also, I know that short trips make the intake valves on a DI engine all junked up. That’s why Ford added port fuel injection along with the direct injection to clean the intake valves.

If I wanted to add an EV for daily use it would be a used bolt or leaf.

There have been some good buys there. I got my van from the local Hertz car sales. It was a no hassle transaction. The van has been a good vehicle.
